Ephesians 6:16

In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; (Eph. 6:16)
Faith is our greatest defense! Bad things will happen in this life. We cannot stop them all from happening. But our greatest protection is in believing God and his good promises towards us. The safest and most defensible position is the position of faith -- not of hording, or 401Ks, or savings, not in all our plans and strategies to avoid hurt, not in the walls we build, but simple faith in the promises of God. let us take up the shield of faith by knowing his promises and actively believing them, rehearsing them in our hearts, holding them close and dear. Let the words of God reverberate in our hearts and mouths! God's word is alive and active!

Jeremiah 9:23-24

This is what the LORD says: "Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches, but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight," declares the LORD.
Battle Testimony: Leaning on this scripture today. Battling the desire to get caught up in other things besides the one thing that is most important -- to know God and give glory to His name -- to boast in His goodness, not my own.

Isaiah 55:11

So shall my word be that goes out form my mouth, it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish that which I purpose, and will succeed in the thing for which I sent it.

Romans 10:13

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Philippians 4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in all things, with prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God, which passes understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Battle Testimony:There have been many times in my life when anxiety has gnawed on my guts, stolen my sleep, and reduced me to something paper-thin and fragile. But many times God has saved me from this terrible, life-sucking condition through Philippians 4:6-7.
